This Privacy Policy describes how WiFi QR Connect ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Windows desktop application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

WiFi QR Connect is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app processes the following types of data:

• WiFi network credentials: When you scan a QR code or enter credentials manually, the app reads the network name (SSID), password, and security type. This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any external server.
• Camera feed: The app accesses your webcam to scan QR codes. The video feed is processed in real time on your device. No images or video are recorded, stored, or transmitted.
• Scan history and notes: Networks you scan or import are saved to your local browser storage. Profile notes are stored locally on your device.

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location through the app.

2. How We Use Your Data

All data processed by the app is used solely to provide its core functionality:

• Reading WiFi credentials from QR codes
• Connecting your PC to WiFi networks
• Generating QR codes from network information you provide
• Maintaining your scan history for quick reconnection
• Managing WiFi profiles and notes

We do not use your data for profiling, marketing, or any purpose beyond the app's core features.

3. Third-Party Services

The app may integrate the following third-party services:

• Google AdSense: The free version of the app displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's advertising policies.
• Microsoft Store: The app is distributed through the Microsoft Store, which handles app installation, updates, and in-app purchases. Microsoft's privacy practices are governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We do not use analytics services, crash reporting tools, or any other third-party tracking within the app.

4. Data Storage and Security

All app data (scan history, WiFi credentials, profile notes) is stored locally on your device using the application's local storage. This data is not encrypted by the app itself but is protected by your Windows user account and file system permissions.

We recommend that you:

• Keep your Windows user account password-protected
• Use full-disk encryption (BitLocker) for additional security
• Do not share your device with untrusted users if you store sensitive WiFi passwords

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party. Your WiFi credentials and scan history remain exclusively on your device. The only exception is the advertisement service (Google AdSense) in the free version, which operates independently as described above.

6. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• View: All saved networks and credentials are visible in the app's scan history and profile manager.
• Delete: You can delete individual networks or clear your entire scan history at any time from within the app.
• Export: PRO users can export their saved profiles as XML files.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, these rights are exercised directly through the app as described above.

7. Children's Privacy

WiFi QR Connect is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require account creation or personal information of any kind.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
